Through storytelling performances, recordings and workshops, Jenni Cargill- Strong helps people experience the ancient, healing wisdom held in told stories, both for children and adults.

Jenni has won the Declan Affley Songwriting Award early in her performance career and was also awarded an ‘Encouragement Award’ in the same competition at the National Folk Festival in Canberra.

The National Library of Australia inaugurated a ‘Special Award’ to recognise her first CD for children, now called “Molly Whuppie and other wonder tales”.
Her next albums “The Mermaid’s Shoes and other enchanted tales” and “Stories to Light the Dark” (for adults) won Special Awards from the “World Storytelling Awards” in the U.S.

Jenni has twice reached the Finals of “The Spirit of Woodford Storytelling Award”.

She was also awarded recognition for “Outstanding Academic Achievement’ while studying for a Graduate Diploma of Secondary Education, specialising in English at Southern Cross University.
